49ers faithful celebrating last night's victory over the green bay packers! bowl and niners quarterback quarterback colin capernick and the san francisco 49ers with a record night at candlestick park. green bay struck first, on this first quarter capernick interception. it's seven - nothing. but then cap-ernick came right back, running 20 yards to tie the game at seven. then a crucial first half turnover. packer rookie jeremy ross fumbles on the nine yard line. the niners recover and would later score. michael crabtree with two t.d. receptions. the niners turned it into a rout in the third quarter. overall, cap-ernick ends the night with 444 total yards, two touchdowns runs and two scoring passes. a record breaking performance by the 2nd year quarterback. 49ers win, 45 to 31. that means a return to the

n-f-c championship game. and sets them up to either play >> there were 70 thousand fans in the seats at the stick.and then there were thousands more packing bay area sports bars. as they cheered on the niners. kron four's alecia reid braved the crowd in walnut creek. tables were reserved well in advance. celebrating the 49ers was a no-brainer. >> is it destiny it is about:kaepernick. we are going to the super bowl and required to bring that championship back to the bay. >> there were some people that were not cheering on the 49ers. >> my favorite teams are the bears and whoever is playing the 49ers.

officers found a wounded man and woman in 13-hundred block of alemany boulevard just after ten o'clock last night. the victims are ageds 50 and 80. they were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries, which are not considered life- threatening. police have made no arrests. >> police in san francisco have arrested a rape suspect on telegraph hill. this after the suspect was surrounded by police and a helicopter about an hour after the incident occurred. the victim has been rushed to the hospital with unknown injuries. >> still ahead on kron four news weekend. a memorial for alyssa byrne. the petaluma teen whose body was found in south lake tahoe. we'll have more on that story. >> a gun show attracts thousands to the cow palace this weekend. we'll explain why there was a rush to buy ammunition. >> and if you ride bart today, you may see something missing on passengers.

>> it's a rush to buy ammunition at this weekend's crossroads of the west gun show at the cow palace. people came out in droves yesterday for the start of the gun show. for many, long lines meant long waits to buy ammunition and weapons. but for many, the wait was worth it. potential new gun laws influencing the sale of record turnout. >> i have never had a crowd like this were seeing this concern. >> everybody is stocking up. it just like mayan calendar. thinking that time is going to run out >> still ahead,the crossroads of the west and still ahead, we'll take a closer look at the national gun debate. including how religious groups are involved in the issue.

>> some tense moments for a the pilot of a small plane trying to land at the san carlos airport yesterday afternoon. the pilot flying solo from san luis obispo was already on the ground when he realized the landing gear hadn't deployed. despite a rough landing, the pilot escaped uninjured. the airport shut down for awhile while crews removed the plane from the runway. the airport is reopened this morning. >> coming up in another rape in india. let's take a quick look outside. ñçñçñnñmññoñmñw?çç

see these cool mornings. however, is finally going to warm up with the 60s back on the board next weekend. >> the guantanamo bay prison is as controversial today as when it opened 11 years ago today. bay area groups who want it to close, will mark the anniversary with a protest. starting at noon, demonstrators will walk across the golden gate bridge from both ends they'll hold a brief vigil at the midway point. then at 1 p.m. they'll have a reading of the one- hundredd-66 prisoner's names. that happens at the southern end of the bridge. the protest will reportedly not impede traffic on the bridge. >> police in santa cruz are looking for a man that they say grabbed a twelve-year- old girl on the buttcocks. the girl was walking home from school saturday on walnut avenue near spruce. that's when the suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her. he then left the scene. a witness in the area was able to take a picture of the suspect. he is described as a latino

man. 21-to-28 years old. around six feet tall. and 250-to-280 pounds. he was last seen wearing a brown t-shirt. black pants. and wire rimmed glasses. >> in petaluma. a memorial was held at casa grande high school for alyssa byrne. the 19 year old who went missing on new years eve in south lake tahoe. her body was found a couple miles from her hotel. kron four's jeff pierce has more on the memorial. >> alyssa had so many friends, i really want to emphasize the so many part, because well just look around. >> reporter: hundreds of friends, family and classmates of alyssa byrne came together at the high school she graduated from for a memorial service saturday. in a ceremony that was emblematic of the close knit twon that petaluma is, they remembered alyssa who was reported missing on new years eve after attending a concert at lake tahoe. >> my biggest fear today was that we were going to show up and there was going to be twenty kids. >> reporter: tears and hugs

were the hallmark of an event that paid tribute to the nineteen year old alyssa. those who attended the event sere encouraged to wear pink. >> she told me one time she wanted her funeral to be a party with all her favorite things so with all of this pink it's absolutely amazing. >> reporter: the preliminary investigation into her death has lead investigators to believe alyssa made a fateful decsision to walk alone bacikto the hotel where she was staying with friends. a decision that became a hard learned lesson for friends and classmates who honored her with a pledge. >> in honor of ayssa marie byrne always in our hearts never forgotten, rest in paradise. so i'd like everyone to raise your right hand and repeat after me. i promise to never let myself or anyone else leave in an unfamiliar place without a buddy system.

(amazing grace song) >> reporter: in petaluma jeff pierce kron four news. >> in india,indian police have arrested six men in a second gang rape in a small village near punjab in the northern part of the country. the victim in the latest attack was the only passenger aboard a bus on friday. police say the driver and conductor were joined by five friends in raping her. four weeks ago a deadly gang rape aboard a bus in the country's capital outraged indians. it sparked large protests across the country and calls for tougher rape laws.

police are still searching for a seventh suspect in the latest attack. today, the protesters say >> paris police are preparing for what could be the city's largest demonstration in a decade. officials expect about three-hundred-thousand to protest the french president's plan to legalize gay marriage. as much as 65 percent of the french public supported the plan in august. however, religious opposition has dropped its popularity down to about 50 percent. president francois hol-lande has promised to give same- sex couples all the legal protections that heterosexual couples now enjoy. >> there is a new miss america. and this live look at the golden gate but cold temperatures. ..

one person was killed and three others are in the hospital after a deadly before two o clock in the the three bedroom apartment. oakland police are setting their sights on several groups believed to be responsible for four homicides on friday. at this point, investigators gangs. three young men and a span of six hours on friday. police say the violence amounts to retaliatory attacks.

and, that they are committing extra resources to track down the killers. so far, no suspects are in whether any of these cases are related. friday's murders tallies oakland had over 130 homicides in 2012.more then san francisco and san jose three of the victims names have been released. year-old ken harbin ofthe fourth victim is a 22 until authorities notify his relatives. >> today marks one year since the costa concordia cruise ship ran aground off the coast of italy.killing 32 people. a mass, moment of silence and unveiling of memorials to the victims took place in italy today to mark the anniversary of the grounding. the concordia remains on its side and officials now say it will possibly take until september to prepare the ship to be rolled upright and towed to a port to be dismantled. the costa concordia crashed into a reef near an italian island. that opened a 230 foot gash in it's hull. more than 42-hundred people were onboard the ship at the >> this week, vice president joe biden is expected to offer recommendations to president obama on ways to curb escalating gun violence in the u-s. as athena jones explains, religious groups are also
